It's a New Year & the sun is shinning

This is gonna be a much better year.

Course so far the Fates have laughed in my face.

One of us has been ill since Christmas.

Thank God for blessing me with a loving, caring daughter.

Luz has taken care of me since she came home for Christmas dinner and found me in bed with a 103 temp and FREEZING......now she has a bad cold.

Yep, this is gonna be a WONDERFUL year.

KC Willis in Oklahoma!

Happen to stumble across "Paper Crown" and what do I see? KC Willis is gonna be in OKC teaching! I was scared I was late arriving at the party but NO! I was able to purchase a seat.  I am gonna be sitting front and center Saturday morning in Ms Willis' class. SO very excited.

Believe me when I say COOOL stuff like this does NOT happen in Oklahoma very often.  I know we have VERY talented people in our state, however, I have not been able to find many classes round these parts.

KC Willis Lipstick Ranch is a blog I have visited off and on for a couple of years. Never dreamed I would actually get to take a class from her.

If I can find and scan the pic of my Mom in her summer best, her picture will be on the front of this.

I will tint her up all nice and purdy.

Blizzard in Oklahoma

This is only the third time in history that a blizzard warning has been issued for us. Our small town is out of eggs and bread, very low on milk and gas. A few stores have sold out of generators and sleds.

Schools have all ready been been cancelled in Green Country for tomorrow as we expect 16 inches of snow to fall after this freezing rain stops.

I called my boss and told them I don't know how to drive in blizzards. They said they would send the Hummer after me! Joys of small town living.

I was kinda wanting to stay home and work in the studio, however, since my Mom is having surgery next week and I will miss work to be with her I will make every effort to make it to work safely.

Ready for spring

I think I am tired of winter. We are on a roller coaster ride on temps again. The above is a pic of an item I want in my garden this year. So I am sitting here looking at seed catalogs, so fun.

I saw on a blog yesterday an artist is making her spring line. I think I am gonna follow her lead and get out the the pretty colors of spring. I'm gonna pull beads to match the colors in the flamingo.

Beautiful Day

It was such a beautiful day in Oklahoma! I feel so sorry for those that have feet and feet of snow. We almost hit 70 today! But man was that wind sweeping down the plane! My ears are still ringing from the whistle of the wind going on all day while we were outside doing inventory. Now we are having a small thunder storm.

Can't believe the year is coming to a close. So many wonderful things has happened this year. I am looking forward to a brighter future for myself, family and our nation.

Cigar Box

I found the coolest cigar boxes today for only a couple of bucks each. Now I need to decorate them. I will take pics when the sun is shinning.


Today was the first day of An Affair of the Heart at the Tulsa Fairgrounds. Man let me tell ya it was awesome. There were fewer booths than in years past and it kinda seemed like there were MANY duplicate booths. BLING was everywhere.


I was shocked at the amount of women that forgot to put their pants on before leaving the house. Apparently they did NOT watch Oprah yesterday when the critic on the show stated "leggings are NOT meant to be worn alone. Leggings are meant to be worn UNDER something, such as a short skirt." I saw one lady with two toddlers and a baby in a stroller (read as NOT young and tight skinned) wearing a short shirt with a wrap around shrug that was also short with very THIN leggins. geesh! I counted about six more pantless "ladies" besides her.

Since I finished my Christmas shopping it was worth the six buck entry fee. Oh and seeing the artistry on view. When I grow up I want to have talent!

Tomorrow is the Pecan Fest in Chetopa, Kansas. Be~jeweled by jana has a booth there. I purchased a beautiful purple necklace from her for Luzs. I look forward to meeting her.

Art Beads

the talent this lady has when making her art beads is just amazing to me.

Just look at those eyes! Just love it!

She should be arriving in Oklahoma nest week to meet the live Maggie.

Business Cards

I ordered studio business cards tonight!

Mainly to hand out to friends or those that need to e mail something to me. You know.....a time saver.

What will I ever do with 250 cards?

Oh well. The adventure begins.
